A Journal
for New (Liberal) Communism
is a must
Publishing a Journal for New Liberal Communism and Critique of Marxist communism is a must. Bearing in mind that Marxist communism – utopian, old fashioned and deprived of actuality – is dead, it is time for us to throw it away to the dustbin of history. A new brave era of communist liberalism is coming.
For a very long time communism was Platonic; it was abstract in the extreme and so was Marx's teaching of communism for he and his predecessors – the utopian communists – were profoundly influenced by Plato's philosophy. Marx made huge mistakes; he, who knew all about the capitalist economy of his time, threw it away as useless as if humanity had totally wasted its time before his appearance on the world stage. It is high time communism has also become Aristotelian and Hegelian. It is time to reconcile Platonism and Hegelianism, and in so doing to synthesize their ideas, their spiritual experience.
We have to establish a group of thinkers known as the New Communists to make a case against laissez-faire classical liberalism and in favour of freedom of the total political community in political, economic and cultural life. We need an international think-tank which is dedicated to promoting a new communist ideology and the foundation of communist democracy providing a forum for politicians, policymakers and experts to debate and share ideas for the development of the centre-left agenda.
A critique of contemporary orthodox Marxism and traditional Marxist parties is absolutely necessary. Their programmes must be thoroughly examined and criticised as hopelessly outdated. Marx's proletariat does not exist any more. It is not the agent of a new and powerful communist movement. However, a totally new comprehensive communist ideology and political programme are possible.
One of the biggest problems of all traditional Marxist parties is that they still neither have a positive programme how to change the societies of the new millennium nor the ideology to inspire the intellects and wills of the modern people. They are utterly incapable of proposing an alternative to the existing neo-liberal order.
Unlike Marxist communism, the New Communists are in favour of liberal communism, which expresses their unswerving belief in the merits of the free market, growth, entrepreneurship, enterprise and wealth creation. At the same time the New Communists will to supersede the highly corrupted and unethical bourgeois social democracy and establish a communist democracy; they are unreservedly and unhesitatingly in favour of communist justice and want the total political community – not the bourgeois state of the dominating and exploiting class – to play a major role in politics.
The main aim of the new communists is to change the status quo. A new modern, liberal Political Communism is to be created. Its Realpolitik will be absolutely different. The New Communists want to give a new ideological weapon to the modern proletariat.
Let us launch the new communist scientific research project described above! It is absolutely necessary, fascinating and inspiring!
